CSUPERB Fall 2008 Travel Grants

Proposals are due midnight Sunday, October 5, 2008.

These grants programs are intended to support travel to biotechnology related professional meetings and workshops, held between July 1, 2008 and March 31, 2009. Another RFP will be issued in the spring for travel between January 1 and June 30, 2009.

Summer Power Outages Warning

The CCLS Data Center is suffering from multiple power outages, perhaps due to the construction. Electricians have installed a higher amperage circuit breaker to avoid spikes; this should help alleviate the symptoms. However be forewarned that your cluster research jobs may be terminated due to these power outages.

CCLS Advisory Board Meeting The CCLS Advisory Board meeting was very successful! It included a review of our purpose and focus and how to cultivate relationships with other research and industrial institutions. CCLS computing resources will be unavailable 12/26/2007-1/2/2008 due to scheduled maintenance to the campus power grid.

New Policy: Cluster will have monthly downtime

Starting June 29th, the last Friday of every month, the Dell PowerEdge Cluster, will be brought down for scheduled maintenance.
