Lab Access Procedure

The lab in 301 Hensill Hall is locked and secured by a digital combination lock and a motion-sensor alarm. To bypass these security devices and gain access to the lab, please fill out the lab access form, get your faculty advisor's signature, and deliver/fax the signed document to the Computer Science Department Office in 906 Thorton Hall. The fax number for the CS Department office is (415) 338-6826. Expect to get an e-mail response with the keycode within 1-2 weeks.

Please be sure to read the acceptable use policy, which is also reprinted on the lab access form for your convenience. Failure to comply with these policies will result in revocation of lab access privileges.

Door Lock Instructions

The lab is locked by a digital combination lock. In order to enter the room, you will need to enter your keycode into the digital combination lock. You can read these illustrated keycode instructions for more information.

Alarm Instructions

The CCLS alarm is fairly simple to arm and disarm. To disarm the alarm, open up the alarm's access panel to reveal the keypad. Key in your code. Close the access panel. To arm the alarm, follow the same procedures (open alarm, key in your code, close alarm). If you are still uncertain on how to arm and disarm the alarm, you can read these illustrated alarm instructions.

Building Access

Students may work with their department office to request a key card from SFSU Facilitiesexternal. Students who intend to work late nights or weekends must also work with their department office to request a building pass.

Termination of Access

Your CCLS lab access is terminated by the CCLS staff upon graduation or completion of the research project, whichever comes later.
